Marta Navaridas and Alex Deutinger are translators, choreographers and performers, working in the field of contemporary dance and experimental theater. Marta Navaridas (San Sebastián, Spain) studied Translation at Pompeu Fabra University Barcelona, Choreography at ArtEZ University Arnhem and Mime at HKA Amsterdam. Alex Deutinger (Salzburg, Austria) studied Translation at Karl-Franzens University Graz and Contemporary Dance at the Institute for Dance Arts (IDA) of Anton Bruckner University Linz.

The work of Navaridas & Deutinger shuffle texts, live music and gesture in unpredictable ways, playfully questioning social formats as well as habits of perception. Based in Graz, Austria, and touring internationally, the artistic couple uses dance, theatre and performance venues, but also galleries, museums, and public space as playgrounds and sites of negotiation.

The duo is based in Graz (Austria) and their works have been shown at international festivals and venues all over the world such as Abrons Arts Center New York, Gessnerallee Zürich, Maison de la Danse Lyon, Palazzo Grassi Venice, The Place London, Danspalladium Malmö, Rencontres Chorégraphiques Internationales de Seine-Saint Denis, Centrale Fies Drodesera, Pôle Sud Strasbourg, Impulstanz Festival Vienna, Dansens Hus Stockholm, DanceWeek Festival Zagreb, Muffatwerk Munich, Frascati Theater Amsterdam, Escena Contemporánea Madrid, Szene Salzburg, Tanzquartier Wien.
