BAPTISTE CAZAUX

DANCER, PERFORMER, CHOREOGRAPHER, DJ

Baptiste Cazaux is a French artist currently based in Geneva. After classical dance training in Biarritz, they joined the Ballet Junior de Genève in 2015 and danced works by choreographers such as Olivier Dubois, Sharon Eyal and Thomas Hauert.

Associate artist from 2021 to 2024 at L’Abri-Genève and Théâtre Sévelin 36 in Lausanne, today, they work in Switzerland and in Europe with choreographers such as Jan Martens, Ayelen Parolin, Lisa Laurent, and Katerina Andreou while also presenting their own work internationally in contexts such as La Bâtie, Théâtre du Grütli, Festival Santarcangelo, Palais de Tokyo, KAAP, KLAP – Maison pour la danse, Operaestate – BMotion, and Pôle-Sud CDCN, among many others. Since 2019, they created four pieces: EXERCICE DE STYLES #2 (2019), perfect pitch (2021), GIMME A BREAK!!! (2023) and That’s twisted (2026, at FIT the same year) which premiered at Pavillon ADC (Geneva) in spring 2026.

Their work explores the relationship between sound and choreography. They investigate themes such as bodies in crisis and living under capitalism, drawing inspiration from music criticism. Improvisation, spontaneous writing, sensoriality — with an emphasis on listening — and altered states of consciousness are key elements of their practice.

In parallel with their personal projects, Baptiste is regularly performing as a DJ under the alias Glaire Waldork. Baptiste Cazaux is also a performer in Simple (Ayelen Parolin) and in Bless This Mess (Katerina Andreou).
