Becoming an astronaut is no easy feat. Especially if you’re just over ten years old.

Galassia Annika is the tale of a journey and the preparations for that journey. It is a love story, but without flowers and little hearts everywhere; more like asteroids and shooting stars. It is a child’s perspective on the adult world and on the meaning of life. It is an incredible adventure set in a room – a very special room, and a very special adventure. And, most of all, it is a play about the power of stories. The power to put the unspeakable into words, to heal the heart with patience and trust. Looking up at the sky and its billions of stars.
The narrator is Annika’s brother, who tells of the time spent with her during a long hospital stay. Listening to him, rather than a hospital ward, we discover we are looking at a real space station. There, his sister, with his help too, is training to become an astronaut.
